Well, I bought a second one because I liked it so much, but also because the first one showed signs of use and I wanted one in pristine condition: the red coating got some gritty patina (looks kinda cool though) and the blade became a bit loose (not so cool). I refastened the axis screw and also sharpened the blade, which worked fine. I also have to say that in spite of the ribbed surface, the handle is a bit slippery because of the coating (or the aluminium?). It feels a bit unsafe, even though it's never been an issue. Anyway, with this experience in mind I chose to do another review. I still like the knife a lot, but it is not perfect (unlike the titanium version, which is as close to ideal as physically possible - not slippery, very sturdy, but even more elegant and has a slimmer, better blade, too).

This is a marvellous knife, my favorite. Beautifully designed and utterly functional. I use it for everything in the household and even for light wood carving - I am very pleased with every aspect of this masterpiece.
