Spyderco Stretch 2 XL K390 C258FPK390 Blue FRN, Taschenmesser

I already own a Stretch 2 in K390 (the smaller version of this knife) and the Sprint Run Stretch 2 XL in the Micro-Melt PD1 steel, so that says something about how much I like the Stretch model. In my opinion it's the best Spyderco model, a true masterpiece. Why: Handle: Superior handle, great in the hammer grip and saber grip and also when using the choil. The handle doesn't house any steel liners so it's got a little flex but you won't notice that during use, it's very durable. I like Spyderco's FRN material, very grippy texture but not too aggressive. Blade: Extremely nice slicer, thin blade stock, thinner than a PM2, Manix, Military. Don't pry with the tip, of course. K390 is a phenomenal steel: Holds an edge forever and easy to resharpen. Develops a nice patina with use! Mine doesn't rust at all, just gets more and more patina. If you don't like that there's the cheaper VG-10 steel version for you. Carry: It's so light that you can forget about it when you're wearing jeans for example. So it carries extremely nice. Easy in- and out of the pocket since the clip lands on a smooth area in the handle. It's not deep carry and that's good, then you've got something to grip and pull the knife out of the pocket. Lock: Reliable and strong mid-backlock. With a little muscle memory you can draw, open, use and close the knife without even looking at it. That's not always possible with every lock type. Overall the Stretch 2 Xl might be the best Spyderco ever made. It' that good.
